Understanding Interventions

After the initial attempts of interventions, I decided to do some research on understanding the word “intervention” outside the course curriculum.

And I found the phrase “divine intervention”.

Divine intervention is an event that occurs when a deity becomes actively involved in changing some situation in human affairs.

e.g.1.  the involvement of Zeus and Poseidon involving themselves on the side of either the Greeks or the Trojans in the Trojan War— engaging in miraculous acts, changing the weather, or bolstering the strength of combatants to aid their preferred side.

e.g.2. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. The Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night, and turned the sea into dry land; and the waters were divided. The Israelites went into the sea on dry ground, the waters forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.

the expression “divine intervention” implies that there is some kind of identifiable situation or state of affairs that a god chooses to get involved with, to intervene in, in order to change, end, or preserve the situation.
